PCIC Represetative Mae Ann Salim distributing checks to farmers

The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) continues to extend help to our farmers and fisher-folk through their insurance program.

On March 17, 2022, 56 rice farmers affected by Super Typhoon Odette received indemnity check amounting to PHP 169,325.00 thru their representative Mae Ann Salim at the Municipal Agriculture Office. The monetary check can help farmers in any way recover from the devastation caused by ST Odette. As of the moment, the agency is still evaluating those farmers who reported from the damages of ST Odette.

The PCIC thru the office of the Municipal Agriculturist continue accepting application for Insurance to all commodity such as rice, commercial crops, vegetable, coconut, falcata, aquaculture, livestock and poultry. The office encourages farmers and fisher-folk to avail this program thus, in case of calamity and pest and disease infestation farmers can receive indemnity and minimize damage losses.
