‘’Rabies-free na pusa’t aso, kaligtasan ng pamilyang Pilipino’’ is this year’s theme as we celebrate March as National Rabies Awareness Month.

The Local Government Unit of Tagana-an headed by our Municipal Mayor Cesar B. Diaz Jr. and the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist headed by Ms. Myra Messaiah C. Estobo join in celebrating this event. Anent this, the office conducted vaccination kick-off to all dogs and cats in March 17, 2022 at Poblacion barangays of the municipality.

Pet owners were encouraged to bring their pets/animals at the Municipal Kiosk for vaccination. The main objective of this activity is to give safety to the pets and to the owners as well since rabies virus is fatal. The office is now targeting Tagana-an to be a rabies-free municipality.

The office will conduct municipal wide rabies vaccination soon and communication will be sent to the respective Barangay Captains for guidance and dissemination. We are hoping for the cooperation and response of the public to this activity.
